  • Executive Advising

    Brian provides expert counsel to senior leaders as they navigate a wide range of sensitive, complex, and often closely scrutinized DEIJB concerns. In many cases, executive advising services serve as a helpful complement to coaching services; as such, you may wish to consider engaging Brian for a mix of both.

  • Leadership Team Development

    Brian and Kristi are available to support your leadership team in learning and planning to achieve your organization’s DEIJB objectives. They have specific interest and expertise in helping your team to develop an inspiring vision for DEIJB in your organization; articulate clear goals in support of your vision; and develop action plans for implementing your goals, supporting one another in your endeavors, and measuring the impact of your efforts. This service is flexible and scalable, ranging from one-time facilitation of leadership team meetings and retreats to more extended engagements.

  • Professional Development

    Brian and Kristi have extensive experience designing, facilitating, and assessing professional development programs that promote deep and transformative learning about DEIJB. They have served audiences both within and beyond the higher education setting, and addressed topics including but not limited to creating brave spaces for courageous engagement in social justice-focused dialogues (learn more about this workshop here); foundations for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace; understanding and honoring transgender identities and experiences, and resolving conflicts using restorative and culturally relevant practices.

  • Cultural Intelligence Assessments and Training

    Brian is a CQⓇ Certified Facilitator through the Cultural Intelligence Center. CQ is a powerful tool for individuals and teams who want to increase their capacity to lead for diversity, inclusion, and belonging and more effectively advance equity and social justice within their communities and organizations.   • External Program Review

    Brian and Kristi provide external program review services for student affairs organizations, both as individual reviewers and as members of a review team. We use the CAS program standards as a starting point for designing and implementing review processes tailored to the specific needs, interests, and concerns of the host campus. We have special interest and expertise in conducting external reviews for residential education programs, student activities programs, student government programs, basic needs programs, and non-clinical case management programs.

    Brian offers external review services for student conduct programs with his colleagues at Resolv ED, where he serves as a Thought Partner.

  • Special Projects

    Brian and Kristi excel at leading and managing student affairs and/or DEIJB-related projects in higher education such as reviewing and revising policies through an equity lens, creating and uprighting new programs, and other organizational change efforts. As seasoned project leaders, Brian and Kristi can partner with you to develop and drive forward a clear vision, realistic plan, and strategy for implementation.

  • Interim and Fractional Leadership

    Having served with distinction in multiple senior student affairs leadership positions, Brian can support you as an exceptional interim leader as you navigate transitions in your executive team or tackle challenges requiring a fractional leader. Brian’s approach to interim and fractional leadership is flexible and scalable and can include full- and part-time appointments as well as remote and hybrid schedules.

  • Speaking Engagements

    Brian is available to provide the following keynote talks:

    Creating Brave Spaces for Challenging Dialogues: In this talk, Brian provides an overview of the Brave Space framework, including stories about the experiences which led him and Kristi to develop this approach, the theory and scholarship which informs it, how it has evolved since its inception, and practical strategies for using it in myriad social justice education settings.

    Nourishment for Your Social Justice Journey: In this talk, Brian elevates and shares personal reflections on scholarship and wisdom illustrating the critical importance of rest, pleasure, and community in sustaining social justice work.

  • Student Conduct and Confict Transformation

    Brian is a Thought Partner with resolv ED, an equity-minded community of higher education institutions, executives, practitioners, new professionals, scholars, and policy-makers invested in campus solutions inspired by the power of diversity and possibilities for social change.
